Storm Runoff In California Exposing New Gold Motherlode? Locals Say Yes!

Weeks of rainy weather across Northern California and the storm runoff through the hills of gold country have triggered a new gold rush.
“Miner Gary” Thomas said he always finds at least a little gold here on his property near Jamestown in Tuolumne County, but this year, there’s so much more runoff than normal and it’s shaking the gold from these hills.
Thomas said it could provide a “Eureka” moment for those inclined to come up here and look for it. “(The runoff) kind of ‘etch-a-sketches’ everything,” said Thomas. “Eveything I had dug up and now my dig spots are all gone.”
The known gold digs were washed out, trees uprooted, and landscape eroded. The runoffs have also removed gold out of the old abandoned mines and sent it down the river.
“It’s going to bring down more gold,” said Thomas. “It’s going to bring up new areas that I never got to.”

The Atmospheric River Storms are taking a break for now but DO NOT drop your guard. We’ve got 636 inches of snow in some major Mountain areas that run off into the California River system. So the Oroville Dam & the rest of the state are not out of hot water yet.

500 inches and counting: Snow has clobbered California ski resorts this winter
The snow amounts in California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range this winter are difficult to wrap your head around. In many cases topping 500 inches, they are some of the highest totals in memory.
At the Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows resort, seven feet fell in just the past week. The snow is so high that it buried chairlifts and ski patrol shacks.
The resort has received 565 inches (47 feet) this season, including a 45-year record of 282 inches in January. On Thursday, it announced that its ski area would remain open through July 4. Since 1962, it will mark just the fourth instance of Independence Day skiing (the other years were 1998, 1999, and 2011), according to a resort spokesperson.
Other ski areas in the Sierra Nevada also have seen mind-boggling amounts of snow (totals via SnowBrains.com):
636 inches at the Mount Rose ski area in Nevada.
584 inches at Boreal Mountain.
556 inches at Kirkwood, including 80 inches this week.
544 inches at Heavenly, including 81 inches this week.
534 inches at Northstar, including 84 inches this week (61 inches in 48 hours).
510 inches at Mammoth.
The prolific snowfall has resulted from phenomena known as atmospheric rivers, which are essentially rivers in the sky that carry vast amounts of moisture. Like a fire hose, they have bombarded central and northern California, repeatedly.
“We usually see three or four atmospheric rivers in a season,” Scott McGuire, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Reno, told the San Francisco Chronicle. “We’ve already had 10. We’ve had so much snow to the point where it’s getting hard to measure.”
California’s Natural Resources Agency said Wednesday that the water contained in the state’s snowpack is 188 percent of normal.
February 23, 2017 Recent storms in California have provided widespread drought relief, but also caused deadly and destructive flooding and mudslides. Last week residents were evacuated from their homes as water poured over the damaged spillway at the Oroville Dam. Many rivers and creeks in the Central Valley and around Northern California are at or above flood stage.

After years of too little rain, back-to-back storms in January and February brought record-breaking rain and snow to the entire state of California, which has left the northern half drought-free. The deluge of precipitation has significantly improved drought conditions in much of the Golden State, and it’s expected to continue.

But, one wet season won’t end the drought in all areas, especially in Southern California.
Snowmelt is the key to recharging streams, lakes, rivers and reservoirs
In early February, snowpack in the Sierra Nevada Mountains — the combined layers of snow and ice on the ground at any one time — was at its highest since 1995 for this point in the year. When it melts, the snowpack provides one-third of the California’s freshwater supply.
Snowfall from a series of blizzard-like storms that blanketed the Sierra Nevada last month deposited the equivalent of more than 5.7 trillion gallons of water along the rugged mountain range — enough water to fill California’s largest reservoir more than four times, according to recent analysis.
In a study by the University of Colorado Boulder and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, in La Cañada Flintridge, scientists concluded this month that recent snowfall had replenished more than a third of the state’s lingering “snow-water deficit.”
The finding comes as the California Department of Water Resources released its latest snow survey results on Thursday. Thanks largely to a series of atmospheric rivers that ferried large amounts of tropical moisture to the parched West Coast, Sierra Nevada snowpack has now reached 173% of average.

Fireball Rocks Texas Region, Loud Explosion Reported In 4 States

Reports of sounds of an explosion made their way to the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department after a meteor crashed through the atmosphere on Sunday night.
While working a wreck in the area, Deputy Fire Marshal Nathan Hines said even with the city lights and the overcast skies, he saw what appeared to be a bright light and heard what sounded like thunder.
“You could see a flash, like if an electrical transformer flashes at night, up to our northwest, but it was cloudy here — kinda rainy — so we didn’t actually see any kind of fireball or anything,” Hines said.
At about 9 p.m, the department began receiving calls of the unknown explosion. Eight minutes later, the department took to social media to address the situation.

While the Media & Professional Meteorologists are claiming that California will get a 1-3 week break from rain & floods after these 2 passing storms, I am not so sure about that conclusion. So please if you live in California, don’t let your guard down just because some people are saying the coast is clear & the window of danger is gone. This is not True. Not by a long shot.

Dry spell on the horizon for West after early week bout of rain, snow
Following rain and snow in the Northwest on Sunday, another storm will take aim at California and the Southwest from Monday into Tuesday.
While showers and mountain snow are not anticipated to be as heavy as last week, enough rain and snow may fall to cause travel disruptions and slick roadways.
A few inches of snow will be enough to blanket Interstate 80 near Donner Pass, California, and cause slippery conditions for motorists.
Showers will again reach Southern California on Sunday night and continue into Monday night, with steadier and heavier rain expected to target the San Diego area.
“Although the rain will provide more drought relief to areas in Southern California still struggling from moderate to severe drought, the rain can be heavy enough in and around San Diego to cause some flooding concerns and travel delays on Monday afternoon and evening,” according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Michael Doll.
Below-average temperatures will accompany the storm system.
By Monday night and Tuesday, a few showers will target Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona, while upwards of a foot of snow buries the mountains of northern Arizona, including the city of Flagstaff.
The snow may be heavy and wet enough to cause sporadic outages and bring down power lines near Flagstaff.
“Heavy snow will create hazardous driving conditions on Interstate 40 Monday night into Tuesday across northern Arizona and northern New Mexico,” Doll said.
Once this storm exits the West, an extended stretch of dry and mild weather is expected across California.
“After flooding, mudslides and rockslides ravaged parts of California during the past two months, the pattern change will provide Californians with a break from the rain from the middle of this week through at least the weekend,” Doll said.
The upcoming spell of tranquil weather will allow restoration efforts on damaged homes, bridges, roadways and dams to move forward.

Recently, I’ve spent a great deal of time writing about Neptune. Neptune governs the content of the mass mind. That is Neptune governs the growth and maintenance of our worldviews.
We are dealing here with a lot of things it is difficult to neatly define. But I’ll give it a try.
As is so often the case, we can understand this aspect of Neptune’s function with reference to very basic house and sign relationships. The ninth house represents our highest ideals. It has an innate relationship with Sagittarius and Jupiter.
The ninth house is intrinsically related to Sagittarius and Jupiter. Of course, each Sign’s ninth house is occupied by a different Sign. For example, the ninth house of Taurus is Capricorn, the ninth house of Gemini is Aquarius, and so on and so forth.
Mass consciousness is governed by the sign of Cancer. Hence, Cancer governs worldviews. Cancer’s ninth house is Pisces. And, finally, Neptune rules Pisces.
Essentially, the ninth house represents those ideals to which we aspire and the principles to the fulfillment of which we are especially devoted. These ideals and principles can be expressed in in philosophical, spiritual and/or religious terms.
The ninth house also governs the intellectual resources and skills by which we define and refine these ideals and principles. It governs reason. Expansive Neptune the fuzziest of fuzzy planets is intrinsically related to fussy, detail-oriented little Mercury.
Mass consciousness, then, is governed by the sign of Cancer. Cancer would, by extension, govern worldviews. Cancer’s ninth house is Pisces. Finally, then, Neptune rules Pisces.
Hence, Pisces and its ruler Neptune govern the ideals that inform and guide mass consciousness and worldviews.
Our worldviews, or belief systems, provide a framework for our lives. They strongly influence individual and collective, political and economic thought and action.
Keeping Our Worldviews Healthy
The close association between Neptune, the health of our worldviews and the health of our societies, renders Neptune an especially important astrological influence. In recent posts, I have discussed things that attest to Neptune’s power in this regard. For example, there are the effects of what I have called the mutable T-Square.
This T-square involves Jupiter and the North Node in Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces. It dramatically increased our sensitivity to untruth and our concern about the negative effects untruth plays in our lives. The mutable T-square gave us an understanding of the destructive role of “fake news” and “alternative facts.”
I also looked at Neptune’s adverse relationship with the North and South Nodes. By augmenting the treacherous appeal of the South Node, and diluting the appeal of the North Node. In this way, Neptune seriously complicated our efforts at every level, in every area, individually and collectively, to align ourselves with world Dharma, i.e., to find a path through life that the Universe would support.
Things to Come
This month, I want to look at the bigger Neptune picture. Specifically, I’d like to discuss some very basic but surprisingly revealing facts about Neptune’s current placement.
Based on the fact that Neptune is at the beginning of a complete cycle of the Zodiac, we can say that we are at a very early point in a grand and turbulent transformative process.
