Antares (/ænˈtɑːriːz/), also known by its Bayer designation Alpha Scorpii (abbreviated to α Scorpii or α Sco), is the fifteenth brightest star in the night sky and the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius, and is often referred to as “the heart of the scorpion”. Along with Aldebaran, Regulus, and Fomalhaut, Antares comprises the group known as the ‘Royal stars of Persia’. It is one of the four brightest stars near the ecliptic.

A 9.0 magnitude earthquake along the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) and the resulting tsunami is the most complex disaster scenario that emergency management and public safety officials in the Pacific Northwest could face. Cascadia Rising is an exercise to address that disaster.

June 7-10, 2016 Emergency Operations and Coordination Centers (EOC/ECCs) at all levels of government and the private sector will activate to conduct a simulated field response operation within their jurisdictions and with neighboring communities, state EOCs, FEMA, and major military commands.

Conducting successful life-saving and life-sustaining response operations in the aftermath of a Cascadia Subduction Zone disaster will hinge on the effective coordination and integration of governments at all levels – cities, counties, state agencies, federal officials, the military, tribal nations – as well as non-government organizations and the private sector. One of the primary goals of Cascadia Rising is to train and test this whole community approach to complex disaster operations together as a joint team.

Recent subduction zone earthquakes around the world underscore the catastrophic impacts we will face when the next CSZ earthquake and tsunami occurs in our region:

Indonesia (2004): M9.1 — 228,000 fatalities
Chile (2010): M8.8 — 500 fatalities
Japan (2011): M9.0 — 18,000 fatalities

It’s official. Total fraud is propping up every corner of the global economy. Former Bush Administration (41) Assistant Secretary of Housing, Catherine Austin Fitts says, “Here’s the problem with this situation, and it’s mind boggling. When you have an economy on a managed basis, and get this far away from a market economy, the problem is the primary trend in the dollar, bonds, stocks, and gold is . . . totally in question and can go either way. A lot of it is because you have a politically managed system and not a market economy. The more you politically manage it, the lower the productivity goes. So, it is really a house of cards. The money managers are looking at this, and they are very nervous and for good reason. A politically managed system is not as robust and healthy as one managed by market economics. . . . You have a failure of the political system to face and manage and deal with what is going on. . . . We have managed this system by being more and more and more secret. George H. W. Bush said the other day that the American people can’t handle the truth. I think they can handle the truth, and one of the reasons I am encouraged by Trump is he is going to start bringing more of it out. That’s what we need. It’s the only way we can get out of this. We are being killed by a politically managed system that is being driven by more and more privilege and more and more secrecy. We’ve got to go to transparency, and it’s going to be a very painful process for the American people. It’s not going to be pretty. The game of musical chairs is upon us. It’s not coming, it’s here.”

NASA Historic ANNOUNCEMENT: More than 1,200 NEW Planets that could Hold Life Found

THE chance of alien life being found one day has been boosted after NASA scientists revealed they have found 1,284 NEW planets that could house alien life.

The US space agency has just announced the discovery of the new “exoplanets” which are considered as similar to Earth.

It more than doubles the previous amount of exoplanets found by the Kepler Telescope.

It comes after NASA said they now also believe every star in space has at least one planet orbiting it.

Among the new discoveries are also a further 100 grade A rocky exoplanets which are the most likely for life to begin just like Earth.

It was previously believed that many stars were out there alone, meaning the odds of other Earth-like planets with the right conditions for life to start are much higher than ever believed.

The information has come from astronomers researching swathes of data from the Kepler Telescope mission.

NASA made the major announcement about the latest findings from the Kepler research at an ongoing press conference.
